🦜 Crop Fistula (ক্রপ ফিষ্টুলা) কী এবং কেন হয়?

Avian Crop Fistula বা Crop Burn মূলত ছোট বা বাচ্চা পাখিদের (বিশেষ করে hand-reared parrots) ক্ষেত্রে একটি মারাত্মক সমস্যা। হাত দিয়ে খাবার খাওয়ানোর সময় খাবার অতিরিক্ত গরম থাকলে ক্রপ বা থলথলে খাদ্যনালীর ভেতরের সংবেদনশীল লাইনিং পুড়ে যায়। সময়ের সাথে সেই পোড়া অংশ পচে (necrosis) স্কিন এবং ক্রপ ওয়ালের মধ্যে একটি ছিদ্র বা Fistula তৈরি করে। অন্যান্য কারণসমূহ: * অতিরিক্ত বা অনিয়মিত খাবারে Candida albicans-এর সংক্রমণ হলে ক্রপ ওয়াল অত্যন্ত পাতলা ও ফাঁপা হয়ে যায়। * ব্যাকটেরিয়াল ইনফেকশনে ক্রপে ঘা (ulceration) এবং necrosis হয়ে গভীরে পচন ধরে ছিদ্র হতে পারে। প্রধান লক্ষণসমূহ (Symptoms): * খাবার বাইরে বেরিয়ে আসা: পাখি খাবার খাওয়ার পর তা গলার নিচ থেকে ছিদ্র দিয়ে বাইরে চুইয়ে পড়ে। * ভেজা ও দুর্গন্ধযুক্ত পালক: বুকের কাছের পালক সবসময় ভেজা, চিটচিটে বা খাবারের আস্তরণে ঢেকে থাকে। * ওজন হ্রাস: পাখি দুর্বল হয়ে পড়ে, খাবার খেতে না পেরে দ্রুত ওজন কমাতে থাকে। * Crop Region Redness: ঘা বা ছিদ্র স্থানে ইনফেকশন হয়ে লাল হয়ে যাওয়া বা পুঁজ জমা। Prevention tips for Pet Parents: ছোট পাখিদের hand-feeding করানোর সময় তাপমাত্রা খেয়াল রাখা অত্যন্ত জরুরি। অতিরিক্ত গরম খাবার খাওয়ালে ক্রপে ইনফেকশন বা এমন fistula তৈরি হতে পারে। আপনার পোষ্যের কোনো অস্বাভাবিক লক্ষণ দেখলে দ্রুত রেজিস্টার্ড ভেটেরিনারি ডাক্তারের পরামর্শ নিন।
